EduStars 2012 - Meet The Best Education Startups from across India [August 25th, Bangalore]

The second most populous country in the world with a persistent problem of illiteracy, India has been fighting this pervading issue ever since independence. A very much government led front up till now, the last decade has seen private players enter the space. Many individuals have taken the path for betterment of education in India with a fresh crop of startups coming up to provide a solution, both, affecting people at the bottom of the pyramid and people who are at par with advancements in technology, globally.

Recognizing this area, EduStars, an initiative by YourStory.in in association with Accel Partners was started to discover and celebrate early stage entrepreneurs in the education sector from across the country. The main aim of the EduStars program is to recognize, facilitate and provide meaningful support to 1-3 startups on a monthly basis. Experts from the sector guided them and helped these startups grow. Now, we’re nearing the end of this program which saw more than 200 applications during its tenure from which the really promising ones were picked and showcased.
