Indian Angel Network co-invests in Anindya Datta's Mobilewalla; Venkat Raju Joins the board

Mobilewalla is a big data venture that collects all publicly available information regarding mobile apps, computes analytics and on top of this data, supplies app intelligence and audience measurement data to its clients for mobile apps. Founded by Anindya Datta, who previously founded Chutney technologies in 2000 which was acquired by Cisco, Mobilewalla recently raised investment from Madrona Ventures along with IAN.Mobilewalla is a Seattle based company with a 13 member team and they claim their USP to lie in the fact that it has developed advanced scientific methods to alleviate the problem of traditional panel based methods of audience measurement and is industry’s sole provider of reliable audience data.

IAN members including Rajan Anandan, Venkat Raju and Sharad Sharma led this round of investment in the start-up. Venkat Raju will join the Mobilewalla board. "We saw enormous potential in Mobilewalla as a venture to provide innovative offering at the intersection of Big Data powered Analytics & Mobility, providing real value to consumers and marketeers," said Venkat.

Anindya informed that the funding will be used in strengthening the product development and for expanding the sales and marketing horsepower of the brand.
