Dr. Philip Kotler inaugurates library at JRE School of Managment

Dr. Philip Kotler, the legendary marketing guru whose books have been part of every marketing professional’s curriculum recently visited the JRE School of Management, Greater Noida. He inaugurated the Philip Kotler Library (A library in his name) in the JRE campus on 15 March, 2013.

Dr. Kotler planted a tree in the JRE Campus signalling the beginning of his association with JRE School of Management. Later Dr. Kotler addressed the students and professors at the campus and had a brief interaction with them. In his address, he spoke about the emerging global scenario in marketing and underlined mechanisms to upgrade knowledge for incumbents.

Speaking on the inauguration, Mr. Harpreet Singh, president, JRE Group of Institutions said, “Today is a proud day for us. To be associated with Dr. Philip Kotler is a great honour. We have always taught students using his books and to be able to interact with him is a great learning for both our students and professors. Our association with him only makes us strive towards providing our students with the best possible guidance at every stage of learning.”

Dr. Kotler quoted in the guest book stating that he is very happy to be here & to see the facilities at the campus. JRE School of Management claims that it is the only one to have so far associated with Dr. Philip Kotler.

Born on 27 May 1931, Dr. Kotler he is widely acknowledged as the father of modern marketing and the world’s foremost expert on strategic marketing. An alma mater of MIT and University of Chicago he did his PhD and Masters in economics. He is the S.C. Johnson & Son Distinguished Professor of International Marketing at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
