Blot Canvas, a Mobile App company that specializes in making apps for celebrities

Founded in January 2012 by Rishab Mathur and Anindya Chakraborty, Blot Canvas specializes in developing mobile apps for celebrities and brands as the company strongly believes mobile to be the next web. This app acts as a medium for celebrities/brands to promote themselves and connect with their fans.

In a span of one year, Blot Canvas has created apps for celebs including: Raghu Ram of MTV, Pt. Ravi Shankar, Richa Aniruddh, Mughda Godse, Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt.

What do the apps have? 

The primary function of the app is to serve as a hub of the complete information surrounding the celebrity/brand – latest news to biography to photos to upcoming videos. The apps also contain other features based on the personality of the celebrity. Some of the features:

• The applications allows the celebrity to declare a Top Fan based on the time spent and the activity of the user on the application. This way the topmost fan of the month gets a chance to speak to their favorite celebrity.
• Fans continuously try to seek Advice about various aspects from the celebrities they follow. The apps have become a medium for this information like for body building enthusiasts, Sanjay Dutt's app has a “Dole Shole Session” where the actor gives funda's to his fans through this application. Similarly, Richa Aniruddh hosts an open house on day-to-day issues on her "Lets Talk" feature.
