VC Bootcamp - a full day workshop that deep dives into the VC landscape, Raising VC funds and Demystifying the TermSheet. Bootcamp Speaker – Soumitra Sharma, IDG Ventures India

Soumitra is part of the Advisory Team at IDG Ventures India Advisors. IDG Ventures is a technology focused Venture Capital fund that manages over USD 6 Billion globally and has a portfolio of more than 200 technology companies.

Soumitra actively covers Software Products and Cloud (SaaS), Internet, Healthcare and Medical Devices. He currently serves as a Board Observer at Forus Health, eShakti.com and Aujas Networks. Prior to IDG Ventures, Soumitra has M&A and Corporate Finance Advisory experience involving transactions worth more than USD 15 billion combined at Citigroup Investment Banking and Deloitte Corporate Finance.

Soumitra is a regular blogger on YourStory.in and has written for TIME, Wall Street Journal, Economic Times, Inc. India, Emerging Markets Private Equity Review, DARE, IndiaNow (WEF Davos) and SiliconIndia. He is a frequently invited speaker, and has been a Guest Lecturer on Venture Capital at ISB Hyderabad, IIM Ahmadabad and IIM Bangalore, in addition to being an invited speaker on prestigious platforms such as UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) tech conference, MedTech 2012, CellStrat’s Mobile Apps Conclave and various entrepreneurship events at IITs and IIMs.

Soumitra works closely with key enablers in the Indian entrepreneurship eco-system such as YourStory.in, iAccelerator (CIIE, IIM-A), RTBI (IIT Chennai), Economic Times – ‘Power of Ideas’ Initiative and 9dot9 Media (publishers of Inc. India and IndiaNow).

Soumitra holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-BHU), Varanasi and an MBA (Analytical Finance) from the IndianSchool of Business (ISB), Hyderabad. This included spending a spring term on MBA exchange at Kellogg School of Management, NorthwesternUniversity.

Rupesh Kumar Shah - Co-founder & CEO, InOpen Technologies

A Computer Science Engineer, Rupesh's passion lies in leveraging Open Source based content and technology for Education. His background helps him to lead InOpen’s efforts towards creating educational solutions that focus on creating content which can be universally accepted and deployed across varied infrastructure.

Rupesh brings with him analytical, statistical skills and expertise in project management. His skills include idea evolution, business negotiation and team building along with his deep knowledge of open source. Rupesh is essentially a hands-on player, with focus on converting ideas-to-reality. Rupesh did his computer science engineering from Rajasthan university.

He has also did his PGDM from IIM Calcutta in business analytics. Rupesh did his research work in IIT Bombay where he along with his team developed a Linux based Operating System called 'Intux'. Prior to InOpen Rupesh was involved in Training Open Source which involved 6000 college students and organisation like Indian Air Force. Hobbies include fiddling with his piano and gadgets.
