Out of these 1 billion users, over 600 million are active on a daily basis and some 341 million people only use their mobile devices to access Facebook.
According to Gartner’s new report, by 2017, mobile apps will be downloaded more than 268 billion times, generating revenue of more than $77 billion. That makes apps one of the most popular computing tools for users across the globe. By 2017, mobile apps would have become mainstream, giving immense opportunities for new startups to connect with users.
