MedPlus goes online, launches app to help consumers in ordering medicine
Pharma retailing major, MedPlus has recently launched online medicine portal and app to expand its reach through e-commerce.
"During the last decade we witnessed a remarkable transformation in consumer behaviour. The online portal and app will help consumers in more flexible means for medicine ordering," Medplus Founder Madhukar Gangadi said.
According to PTI, the company will harness the 1300 odd offline retail outlets to deliver the products ordered online, he said. Gangadi said the pharma company was bullish on West Bengal and was plannig to double the number of stores to 200 over the next two years.
Medplus has 106 stores in Kolkata and around with a turnover of about Rs 180 crore. National turnover of Medplus in 2014-15 was Rs 1370 crore. Meanwhile, Medplus was planning to raise USD 60-75 million and the timeline to raise the third round of PE funding was not yet frozen, Gangadi said.
