Test automation SaaS startup eureQa raises $600,000 seed funding

eureQa, a test automation software-as-a-service (SaaS) startup, has raised a seed funding of USD 600,000 (about Rs 4 crore) from Sashi Reddi and Gabriel Investments, a Philadelphia-based venture fund. As a part of the funding, Sashi Reddi, managing partner at SRI Capital, will join eureQa's board, the company said in a statement.

"Sashi Reddi and Gabriel Investments are two of the most respected seed stage funders on the East Coast and we are delighted to have them back us for our next phase of building eureQa," said Badri Nittoor, co-founder and CEO of eureQa. "We are looking forward to working with Sashi Reddi, who is one of the foremost experts on software testing, to guide us in this fast evolving market," Nittoor added.

The platform is built on top of various open source components like SeleniumWebDriver that greatly improve on the old generation test automation products that have been in use for over 20 years. The software is delivered as a subscription service and can enable users to automate their software testing without writing code.

Sashi Reddi said eureQa offers a compelling value proposition to enterprise application teams to do test automation without being bogged down by having to write code. "For a small fee per month, companies can get going in just a few days", he added.

Founded in 2012, eureQa provides an easy to use test automation platform that meets the demands of enterprise application developers catering to a mobile, social, and cloud based application world.
