Five lessons of spirituality for aspiring entrepreneurs that can take you a long way

Five lessons of spirituality for aspiring entrepreneurs that can take you a long way

Wednesday July 13, 2016 , 3 min Read

Know your passion

Make sure you’re passionate about what you’re getting into. Your passion is not a fleeting hobby or the hottest sectors in news. It is the alignment of your inner self with what you’re naturally inclined to work towards. It is this synchrony between your inner and outer self that will give you that strength to keep going beyond miles, you silently believed, you would never walk. It is equally essential that your passion should be backed by a constructive and feasible business plan to metamorphose into a success story.

Practice intention

Put your intention out in the universe every day to make life work in your favor. Your intention can be anything from becoming an unrivaled player in your industry to the millions in turnover you desire to achieve. Practice your intention with a one-pointed determination and work towards achieving your goal. Focussed intention will help you surpass obstacles with an altered perspective ‑ taking them instead as an opportunity for transformation or tapping unexplored possibilities. Intention without attachment to the outcome is an infinitely powerful tool and when practiced correctly it can self-organise your journey to fulfill your dreams.

Serve people

We are totally enthused about innovation, marketing and brand-building. But no matter how great your product or brand is, you need to serve your customers well. Create something with the need to serve people and then see if your product is making lives easier, comfortable and happier. You also need to serve your employees beyond the assigned roles. They are the ones who carry the weight of your company forward along with you. Be instrumental in shaping an environment that is conducive for their personal and professional growth while ensuring their overall well-being. Make ‘service’ the core of your business.

Maintain your balance

There will be more forest fires, before you see the wild lilies. A lot of companies with a firm business plan and great execution skills fail earlier than anticipated because of impulsive decisions taken in anxiety. When a situation is unfavorable to your business, maintaining a balanced mind will help you avoid decisions propelled by a confounded mind.

It is very crucial that all your decisions, consequential or inconsequential, be taken in a balanced state of mind. Your smaller decisions are also pivotal in paving the way for the foundation of your business. If you find yourself off temperament, take a step back, move into your solitude, regain your energies and then address the problem at hand.

Feel prosperous

The power of positive thinking is always at play. And we cannot emphasise enough the importance of feeling abundance even in the most pressing situations. You have to train your mind to feel prosperous at all times. Prosperity is not only material, but also encompasses good health, fulfilling relationships, enthusiasm for life amongst many other things. As an entrepreneur, feel the prosperity in your courage, in the endurance that graces you, and in the strength of your pursuit. There is so much abundance within you. And if you feel it inside, it will come outside of you.
