It’s that time of the year again where every startup, entrepreneur, investor or a budding idea finds its way to India’s largest celebration for gamechangers - TechSparks. Curated to celebrate cutting edge ideas, innovators and investments, Techsparks is an amalgamation of successful people, their stories and the journey they have had.
The startup capital of India, Bengaluru is gearing up to welcome the 7th edition of Yourstory Techsparks at the Taj Vivanta, Yeshwantpur on Sep 30 – Oct 1. On day 1 of the event i.e.on 30th September, the event kickstarts with the Founder CEO of Yourstory, Ms.Shradha Sharma when she brings the limelight to the 7th edition of TechSparks. The event will then build upon when IT & BT, Tourism Minister of Karnataka, Shri Priyank Kharge addresses the gathering. Mr.Kharge who started his career young following the legacy of his father Shri. Mallikarjun Kharge, initiated the country specific pavilions for global investors meet, Invest Karnataka. Throwing the spotlight to ‘one to many businesses’ Morten Primdahl, Founder & CTO, Zendesk will share his engineering story. While e-commerce businesses are taking plunges with marking their presence over the market, Ashish Hemrajani, will speak next on how he built India's largest online entertainment ticketing platform, BookMyShow.
Paving their way to the top and joining the big league of billionaires, Bhavin Turakhia, Co-founder & CEO of Directi who started his venture when he was 18, will speak on ‘the game of businesses’. Our next speaker Mukund Rajan, Brand Custodian & Member - Group Executive Council, Tata Sons will bring some perspective on ‘India’s most valuable brand – the Tata journey.
Day 2 of Techsparks 2016 is adorned by an incredible lineup of speakers from the Indian startup ecosystem. The day starts with an opening note by the Guest of Honour Shri. Shailendra Singh, Joint Secretary, DIPP, Govt. of India. Mr. Singh brings along his expertise from law and Industrial Development. Our next speaker introduced India the digital way to pay their bills. Vijay Shekar Sharma from Paytm has a message to the budding entrepreneurs. While the world is moving from laptops to phones, Head of International Expansion of San Francisco based deep linking and business analytics platform Branch metrics, Ramsey Pryor will share his learning on ‘how to transform user Emotions into App’. From starting her entrepreneurial journey in 2000, to founding her own company Mapmygenome, our next speaker Anu Acharya will speak on the flip side of nurture and nature in her discussion, It's all is in the genes. One among India’s best selling author, Ashwin Sanghi queues up next to talk about how his creativity was inspired by connections and shows how anyone can be creative if they are simply more observant. Covering aspects as diverse as history, mythology and science, Ashwin takes you through a fascinating presentation that is meant to inspire the creative spirit within you.
Post Ashwin’s talk, the curtain falls to welcome our favorites, the tech 30 battalion. Fighting all odds of the startup ecosystem, team Yourstory has finger picked 30 best upcoming early stage startups who will adorn the stage of Techsparks 2016 to pitch their idea to the gathering. This special display of budding entrepreneurs will boost the morale of other younger generation who are still looking for a recognition to establish themselves in this rat race.
Following this display of Tech 30, the stage will be taken over by Kishore Biyani, Founder & CEO, Future Group. His perception about the Indian startup ecosystem has always been very strong. While he takes the center stage, his saying at the Techsparks 2016 might be the missing puzzle, or may be not!. Bridging the gap between consumers and the service driven industry, Freecharge’s founder & Chairman Kunal Shah gears up for an exciting talk on “Hidden Secrets of Wealth creation and erosion in Startups”.
