Reliance Jio Prime offer expires on March 31st, and here is what you gain or lose from it

Reliance Jio Prime offer expires on March 31st, and here is what you gain or lose from it

Friday March 31, 2017 , 3 min Read

New telecom entrant Reliance Jio has finally reached the day that was most anticipated – March 31, the last date to become a Reliance Jio Prime member.

Those availing the Prime plan are required to pay a one-time subscription fee of Rs 99 for an entire year. If a user is interested in claiming the benefits of the ‘Happy New Year’ plan, they have to pay Rs 303 every month. Here is a list of offers and what they mean for you:

The Rs 303 Jio Prime offer

With access to unlimited free voice calls, free unlimited SMS, and access to Jio apps, this prime offer comes with 28 days validity. The data remains unlimited, and users will receive 4G speed for only 28 GB data, post which the speed is reduced. The offer also restricts a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) of 1 GB; the FUP is applicable on all unlimited data transfer plans. The data transfer continues to be unlimited, albeit at reduced speeds after this. FUP limits are imposed to ensure that the best quality of broadband is available to the maximum number of internet users. This implies that the users will receive 4G speeds for 1GB data consumption daily only for 28 days with the Rs 303 Jio Prime plan.

What if the above plan is not enough?

If users feel that the 1GB daily free data plan is not sufficient, then the telecom heavyweight also allows them to opt for the Rs 499 Jio Prime plan. This offer gives out a daily FUP on 4G speeds of 2GB for 28 days. If any user wants to ignore the FUP completely, he or she can opt for the Rs 999 Jio Prime plan, which allows a 4G data of 60 GB for 60 days. There are other offers like the Rs 1,999, Rs 4,999, and Rs 9,999 plans, with a validity of 90 days, 180 days, and 360 days respectively. These options come with a data allowance of 125 GB, 350 GB, and 750 GB without any FUP. Jio also allows a booster pack that ranges from Rs 11 to Rs 301 with 0.1 GB to 10 GB of data respectively.

Jio Prime plan V/S Jio Non-Prime plan

The Rs 99 Jio Prime plan, which is a monthly package, serves free voice calls and data for mobile internet users. When compared to plans offered to Non-Prime Jio users, this offers double the data, in terms of GB. The Jio Non-Prime plan is for Rs 303 monthly.

Do you wish to be a Jio Prime member?

The offer, which ends tomorrow, is open for non Jio members on MyJio, JioMoney, Jio.com, or any of the nearest Jio retailers. This offer also means choosing a combo pack along with the original plan. One of the easiest ways to avail the plan is to do it with the MyJio app.
