The Enamor #WeAreAllFabulous awards showcased the power of women collective

The Enamor #WeAreAllFabulous awards showcased the power of women collective

Friday February 09, 2018 , 4 min Read

As women, we have different dreams, passions, and definitions of success or happiness. If there’s one thing in common, it’s that we are all fabulous in our own way, impacting the world around us every single day. And, if there’s one thing that’s even more fabulous, it’s the magic that happens when a group of women come together to achieve great things, challenges notwithstanding.

It is this ability to come together, work together, stay passionate and pursue their dreams together, not to mention the ability to impact the world around them that Enamor celebrated through the #WeAreAllFabulous awards.

Our jury had a tough time over the holiday season to decide on the top 5 from a long list of inspiring all-woman teams. We published the list of top 5 earlier this month and asked you – our readers – to vote for your favourite team. These five teams have won themselves a personalised Enamor lingerie makeover session and gift vouchers from Enamor.

Here are our top 5, as picked by our wonderful jury – another extraordinary all-women’s team: Chiki Sarkar, Founder – Juggernaut, Meeta Malhotra, Angel investor and Co-founder – Varana Design, Samara Mahindra, Founder – Carer Program, Padmaja Ruparel, President – IAN, and Shradha Sharma, Founder – YourStory.

  1. F5 Escapes: A team that crafts and executes all-women travel experiences with a focus on sustainability and eco-tourism.
  2. StitchMyfit: A startup that offers women in Mumbai bespoke, made-to-measure designer outfits for every woman.
  3. Organic Village Ventures: A chain of retail stores that ensures that that urban community has access to authentic and certified organic food products.
  4. Jwala for Justice: A team that fights violence and abuse against women by providing access to education, employment opportunities, self-defence classes, and support to victims and vulnerable women.
  5. ProEves: India’s fastest growing aggregator of childcare services which provides detailed information on day cares and preschools, arranges visits to these centres for parents and even connects them to childcare experts.

The popular vote was then added to the jury rankings and the scores tallied once more. ProEves walked away as the winner of the Enamor #WeAreAllFabulous awards. Jwala for Justice was declared the runner-up.

A little more about our winners

ProEves is tackling the single-most important reason that women leave the workforce – lack of credible and accessible childcare. The team has built an online platform that enables working parents to discover, decide and book the best daycare / preschool option. In addition, ProEves has specialised tech-enabled solutions for corporates to provide quality childcare and parental support solutions to their employees, thereby increasing work efficiency, reducing employee absenteeism and maternity attrition.

Jwala for Justice is committed to creating a safe environment for girls and women, and helping them fight for their rights, be financially independent, be skilled and strong. They also fight cases of violence against women, support the victims, and train girls in self-defence. The team has also designed a self-defence capsule program for visually impaired girls.

ProEves will take home a Rs 1 lakh cash award, a winner’s trophy, a digital sticker, and a dedicated video feature on YourStory. As the runners up, Jwala for Justice will receive a Rs 50,000 cash award, a digital sticker and a profile on YourStory.

Special mentions

We’d also like to mention a few teams that really made an impression even though they didn’t make it to our top 5.

Women’s Health Line has built a platform to dismantle the culture of silence around women’s health and bodies by creating awareness and fostering healthy conversations, through well-researched content, community engagement, comprehensive sex education, and a range of ingenious products and services.

Vernssage networks with over 800 artisans and helps art enthusiasts and connoisseurs acquire or install artworks.

Kount helps startups build their business plan, and understand valuation, operations or pricing strategy.

We congratulate not just our winners but all the women’s groups who took the time out to apply for Enamor #WeAreAllFabulous awards. Here’s wishing them all the very best in their individual endeavours – may they all achieve the success they are striving for.
