Housesome solves interior decoration woes as English for India aims to upskill corporate staff

Interior designing is an unorganised sector in India, and the lack of professionalism - from contractors to carpenters – is always a challenge - something that Pradeep Singhvi aimed to address with Housesome. The Mumbai-based end-to-end interior design startup offers complete home designing solutions, from floor plans to customised furniture to suit clients’ requirements and budget.

Childhood friends Mahesh Tharani and Arun Jagannathan spent their early days in Vadodara, Gujarat, and realised the importance of language early on. Seeing the advantage of knowing English in the corporate sector, they started English For India in 2017. The startup runs offline training sessions for companies to upskill their workforce. It has two different training programmes catering to customer-facing roles in retail setting requiring interaction with walk-ins, and client-facing roles requiring business communication skills.
