Hotelogix ties up with IHM-Mumbai; to offer cloud-based property management training

Hotelogix ties up with IHM-Mumbai; to offer cloud-based property management training

Wednesday July 18, 2018 , 2 min Read

Cloud-based hotel property management system solution provider Hotelogix has tied up with the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Mumbai to train students.

As companies actively seek industry-academia collaborations, Bengaluru-based startup Hotelogix has tied up with Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Mumbai, and its hotel management system will be used to train students at the educational institute.

As part of the partnership, IHM will use Hotelogix’s property management system to train its students to enhance their practical knowledge. Hotelogix is a cloud-based hotel property management system solution provider.

Co-founder, Hotelogix, Aditya Sanghi

Hotelogix recently raised $5 million in a funding round led by Vertex Ventures, and the round saw the participation of Accel Partners and Saama Capital.

Prabhash Bhatnagar, Founder at Hotelogix said, “We take pride in partnering with IHM-Mumbai that has produced professionals who have shaped hospitality business in various ways. With shifting technology trends, it has now become imperative for the institute to train their students on cloud-based PMS that has changed the way hoteliers globally are handing their operations. As part of our global initiative, we plan to forge more industry-academia collaborations in future.”

IHM started training its students on a server-based PMS around four years back. “We started facing lots of technical snags with the earlier server-based PMS. It didn’t help us impart the right technical knowledge to our students and we decided to move onto cloud. This would ensure that our students get to work on technology that is relevant and futuristic. And we could not find anything better than Hotelogix,” said Mitsy D’Souza, lecturer at IHM-Mumbai.

“During campus selections, recruiters show interest to understand our students’ exposure towards Hotel PMS. And looking at the changing scenario where hotels in India are increasingly using cloud PMS, we are sure that our decision to train students on Hotelogix PMS will boost their employability,” Mitsy added.
