SBI honours young achievers with ‘YONO SBI 20 Under Twenty’ awards
Over 1.7 lakh people voted for 60 nominations across 10 diverse categories, from which 20 winners were then shortlisted by eight eminent personalities to be awarded at the SBI event.
State Bank of India (SBI), with an aim to encourage and celebrate the talent of young kids, felicitated young achievers through its ‘YONO SBI 20 Under Twenty’ awards.
Ten boys and ten girls under the age of 20 from diverse fields were shortlisted as winners. Rajnish Kumar, Chairman, SBI awarded these winners at an event in Bengaluru, where Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor was the Chief Guest.
Over 1.7 lakh people voted for 60 nominations across 10 diverse categories, from which 20 were then shortlisted by eight eminent personalities such as actor Dia Mirza; sports journalist and author Boria Majumdar; Sashi Sreedharan, MD, Microsoft India; Dilip Asbe, MD and CEO, NPCI; and Mallika Dua, social media influencer, among others.
The 10 categories were sustainability, performing arts, acting, entrepreneurship or innovation, sports, global Indian, disability champion, etc.

YONO SBI 20 Under Twenty is yet another step by the bank to appreciate the valuable contributions of our young heroes in their respective fields and adding glory to the nation,” said Rajnish.
The 20 winners ranged from seven to 19-year-olds. Some of winners include Zaira Wasim of Secret Superstar fame, Jasu Khan - young Rajasthani folk singer, Manu Bhaker –Indian sports shooter and ISSF World Cup Gold Medalist, Anubhav Wadhwa – Designer, Tech entrepreneur and Social Activist, Rinku Hooda- India’s Youngest Paralympian (para javelin thrower), Nihal Raj (Khicha)- chef with his own YouTube channel, Sovesh Mohapatra- junior scientist and Sparsh Shah- singer, songwriter, rapper and inspirational speaker.
