IIFL Fintech Fund acquires 10% stake in GenAI startup Vitra.Ai

IIFL Fintech Fund, backed by financial services major IIFL Group, has picked up a 10% stake in Vitra.ai for an undisclosed amount.

Founded by Satvik Jagannath and Akash Nidhi PS, Bengaluru-based Vitra.ai specialises in advanced language translation solutions by leveraging generative AI (genAI). 

The investment will enable the company to further advance and develop its generative AI technology.

“Our decision to invest in this generative AI startup underscores our dedication to supporting startups at the forefront of technological innovation,” said Mehekka Oberoi, Fund Manager, IIFL Fintech Fund. 

“Generative AI represents a transformative opportunity to push the boundaries of what’s possible and create solutions that are not only efficient but also deeply intelligent and adaptive. Language translation for all marketing content is becoming the need of the hour to reach out to all customers. Vitra's solution enables this to connect seamlessly and in a click,” he added.

Notably, this marks IIFL Fintech Fund’s inaugural investment in a GenAI startup.

Vitra.ai offers a comprehensive suite of products that translates videos, images, and websites into over 75 languages. Its features include contextual precision, using advanced algorithms to accurately translate complex meanings and cultural nuances. It also provides real-time translation for text, speech, video, and audio, ensuring seamless communication.

Vitra.ai is collaborating with major Indian companies such as Bajaj Finserv Ltd, IIFL, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Swiggy, Zeptoon their language translation needs.
