IIMA Ventures introduces Venture Investing Accelerator for aspiring investors
The programme caters to early-stage investors, including those interested in venture investing through family offices, micro VCs, or corporate venture offices.
IIMA Ventures (formerly IIMA-CIIE) has launched the Venture Investing Accelerator, an exclusive programme for first-time and novice investors aimed at providing the skills and knowledge needed to excel in early-stage investing.
The accelerator is a programme designed for investors, offering immersive education and coaching to prepare aspiring and novice investors for venture capital success. Participants will learn from IIMA professors, IIMA Ventures partners, and established leaders, and receive personalised mentoring tailored to their individual needs.
“As the venture capital asset class continues to expand, now is the ideal time for individuals to learn how to invest effectively. Our programme will offer participants fundamentals, actionable insights and mentorship from seasoned investors and industry experts," Supriya Sharma, Partner at IIMA Ventures, said.
"By leveraging the extensive experience and resources of IIMA Ventures, we aim to create a new generation of savvy investors who can navigate the complexities of early-stage investing and drive meaningful impact in the startup ecosystem,” she adds.
The programme also offers a flexible, experience-based approach for participants to select their own milestones and shadow relevant parts of the venture investing process, including deal scouting, structuring, due diligence, term sheet drafting, monitoring, and exit preparation, while also providing tailored training for those setting up their own funds.
It caters to early-stage investors, including those interested in venture investing through family offices, micro VCs, or corporate venture offices.
The programme includes a three-day bootcamp on the IIMA Campus from August 8-10, 2024.
