PointAI raises Rs 47 Cr in pre-Series A led by Yali Capital
The funding will be used to accelerate product innovation, strengthen its AI capabilities, and expand the company’s market footprint across India and international markets.
Deeptech startup PointAI, formerly known as Try ND Buy, has raised Rs 47 crore in a Pre-Series A round led by Yali Capital, with participation from Lip-Bu Tan (Chairman, Walden International) and Tremis Capital.
The company said it will use the funding to accelerate product innovation, strengthen its AI capabilities, and expand the company’s market footprint across India and international markets.
The Noida-based startup has so far raised around Rs 10 million in total funding.
Founded by Nitin Vats, PointAI has built a proprietary parallel AI architecture—backed by over 70 global patents—that powers real-time, high-precision visual experiences for online shopping. The company’s technology enables users to virtually try on products, mix and match, and even interact with a digital salesperson—recreating a 100% real-store experience online.
PointAI claims its system can generate hyper-realistic images, videos, and 3D assets within one to two seconds, using up to 90% lower costs and compute power than traditional generative AI models.
Its client roster includes leading names such as Amazon SPN, Flipkart, Myntra, and Rakuten Japan.
Commenting on the funding, Nitin Vats, Founder and CEO of PointAI, said, the company’s rebrand from Try ND Buy reflects its transition from a retail-tech platform to a full-fledged AI company. “We’re building simulation-based AI models that bridge the gap between physical and digital retail, bringing speed, accuracy, and realism to the shopping experience,” he said.
Ganapathy Subramaniam, Founder and Managing Partner at Yali Capital, added that PointAI’s deep-tech foundation positions it strongly in the global e-commerce ecosystem. “Their focus on scientific rigor and real-world application makes them a standout in India’s growing AI landscape,” he said.
Other notable investors in PointAI include Vijay Shekhar Sharma (Founder & CEO, Paytm) and Vinod Sood (Co-founder, Hughes Systique).
