Omnichannel watch retailer Art of Time secures Rs 175 Cr in Series B funding
The funding will primarily be used for offline expansion, especially for the launch of CIRCA, a discovery-led, contemporary retail offering.
Luxury watch retailer Art of Time on Friday announced it has raised Rs 175 crore in its Series B fundraise to support the launch of its experiential offline retail concept, CIRCA.
The round was led by CaratLane's Mithun Sacheti, Siddhartha Sacheti, Plutus Wealth Management, and Freshworks' Girish Mathrubootham.
The capital infusion will primarily be used to expand Art of Time's offline store presence, invest in leadership talent, technology, as well as its inventory for luxury watches.
Founded in 2015 by Gaurav Bhatia and Bharat Kapoor, Art of Time offers global watch brands including Cartier, Omega, Montblanc, Bvlgari and more.
The company is banking on its new offline approach with CIRCA, a discovery-led, contemporary retail environment to offer accessibility to first-time buyers and aspirational watch customers. It plans to open its first store in Delhi NCR in December 2025, followed by other metros next year.
"India's aspirational consumer is evolving rapidly. With CIRCA, our goal is to democratise fine watchmaking, opening the doors for a new wave of first-time buyers while building a fresh entry point for the category. We have aggressive national expansion plans, including Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets. To lead this vision, we are delighted to welcome Prashant Chaudhary as CEO of CIRCA - Art of Time. Prashant was instrumental in scaling CaratLane and bringing unmatched retail expertise to drive CIRCA’s growth,” said Bharat Kapoor, Co-founder, Art of Time.
