Delhivery opens all-women distribution centre in Kerala
Delhivery's Kochi centre employs women across roles, including operations, delivery, and team leadership, and is equipped to process more than 1,000 parcels a day.
, a fully integrated logistics provider, has opened its first all-women distribution centre in Kerala, located in Kochi. The centre is the company’s sixth all-women facility in the country, following hubs in Moga (Punjab), Sikar (Rajasthan), Satna (Madhya Pradesh), and Delhi’s Mayapuri and Shahdara.
The Kochi centre employs women across roles, including operations, delivery, and team leadership, and is equipped to process more than 1,000 parcels a day.
The facility features women-centric infrastructure such as secure rest areas, changing rooms, ergonomic workspaces, and enhanced safety features. Delhivery has also introduced flexible work arrangements to support greater participation of women in logistics.
“The launch of the all-women distribution centre in Kochi is part of our continued effort to increase women’s participation in logistics,” said Prashant Gazipur, Senior Vice President – Last Mile Operations, Delhivery.
“Over the years, we’ve seen how our women colleagues strengthen operations through discipline, consistency, and accountability. Their contributions improve service quality and add significant value to our operations.”
Delhivery’s broader diversity strategy spans four areas—purpose-built infrastructure, inclusive hiring, workplace culture, and career development. The company said women associates record 20% lower attrition, higher productivity, and 8% better attendance compared to male counterparts, reinforcing diversity as both a social and business imperative.
With the Kochi launch, Delhivery aims to further expand opportunities for women in logistics and build a more inclusive last-mile delivery ecosystem.
