Gushwork AI raises $9M in Seed round led by Susquehanna Asia VC

Bengaluru-based agentic AI startup Gushwork has raised $9 million in a seed funding round led by Susquehanna Asia VC, with continued participation from Lightspeed, B Capital, Seaborne Capital, Beenext, Sparrow Capital, and 2.2 Capital.

The startup said the fresh capital will be used to accelerate product development, enhance the accuracy of its AI agents, expand engineering teams, and scale go-to-market operations.

Founded by Nayrhit Bhattacharya and Adithya Venkatesh in 2023, Gushwork builds autonomous AI marketing agents designed to improve how businesses are discovered and cited on AI search platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini. The startup aims to address a fundamental shift in buyer behaviour, as more customers turn to AI engines rather than traditional search or sales channels to research vendors and services .

According to data cited by the company, ChatGPT alone processes over 2.5 billion prompts per day, underscoring the scale at which AI-driven discovery is reshaping online visibility for businesses . Gushwork’s platform deploys a swarm of AI agents on customer websites to optimise content for both human visitors and AI crawlers, ensuring brands are recommended when potential buyers seek vendor suggestions.

“Buyers have already started shifting their behaviour, asking AI for vendor opinions instead of salespeople or friends for referrals. By 2028, AI’s recommendation will be the primary way buyers choose their vendors," said Nayrhit Bhattacharya, CEO and Co-founder, Gushwork AI. "

Gushwork claims strong early traction, with over 300 businesses globally using its platform and more than 800 on its waitlist. It reports that 80% of customers experience a 500% spike in website impressions and a 50% increase in inbound lead flow within 60 days of deployment.
