boAt co-founder Aman Gupta’s OFF/BEAT raises Rs 100 Cr led by Bessemer Venture Partners
OFF/BEAT is expected to be at the centre of the interplay between content and AI.
OFF/BEAT, a new venture founded by Aman Gupta, the co-founder of boAt, has raised Rs 100 crore in a seed round of funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners.
The details of the new venture remain sketchy but the statement has hinted that this would be a business at the intersection of AI and content.
“Having built from scratch before, I know what capital can do and what it cannot. This time, I was looking for partners with a global perspective who can help me leverage technology and AI, because that’s where the future lies. Bessemer’s track record with companies like Anthropic, Shopify, Canva, and LinkedIn says it all,” said Aman Gupta, Founder, OFF/BEAT.

Gupta further reiterated that he didn’t raise capital because one needed the cheque, but Bessemer Venture Partners will bring speed, credibility, network, and strategic support that “money alone cannot buy”.
According to OFF/BEAT, India is undergoing a structural shift as a digitally native, aspirational generation is rewriting what companies must stand for, how they communicate, what they represent, and how they earn loyalty. At the same time, AI and technology are fundamentally reshaping how businesses are built, discovered, and scaled. The founders who will define this moment are those who understand both the cultural shift and the technology enabling it, it noted.
Aman Gupta, who scaled boAt to Rs 3,000 crore in revenue, is expected to bring the operating rigour and an understanding of Indian market to the new venture. He is also one of the judges on Shark Tank putting his money in numerous ventures.
Anant Vidur Puri, Partner, Bessemer Venture Partners, said, “We back founders who see around corners. Aman saw how a new India would come to think about aspiration, identity, and quality, and built boAt as proof. He is now applying that same instinct to a market being reshaped by AI and by a generation with entirely new expectations. That is exactly the intersection Bessemer exists to back.”
