Cashfree Payments’ revenue touches close to Rs 1,000 Cr in FY26
Cashfree Payments aims to achieve EBITDA profitability in FY27.
Fintech startup Cashfree Payments has registered a revenue of close to Rs 1,000 for FY26 and achieved earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) profitability for the month of March this year.
A statement from the company said it is on track to achieve a full year EBITDA profitability in the current financial year. The gross transaction value grew by 78% on a year-on-year basis for the fourth quarter of FY26.
“We clocked in significant GTV growth that generated strong revenue performance and with efficient cost management we achieved EBITDA profitability in March 2026," Cashfree Payments Co-founder & CEO Akash Sinha said.
The startup claimed that it achieved EBITDA profitability without a contraction in growth investments. Cashfree’s active merchant base grew 50% year-on-year in FY26, with growth distributed across both enterprise and small and medium business (SMB) segments. It noted that the SMB segment has been a particular standout with the GTV for this segment growing by more than 2x on the back of strong brand pull.
Cross-border GTV grew by 8x between March 2025 and March 2026 and net-revenue grew by 10x during the same time period. Cross-border revenues are expected to reach 25% of the total revenue in the coming years.
Cashfree Payments offers Secure ID, an identity verification stack with a suite of APIs and KYC components.
The startup was founded in 2015 and is backed by Y Combinator, Apis Partners, State Bank of India (SBI), KRAFTON. It was incubated by PayPal. Alongside payments.
Cashfree Payments has identified three strategic priorities for the upcoming financial year. One, delivering full-year EBITDA profitability. Two, scaling the cross-border business to become a major revenue contributor. Three, investing in innovations across the identity verification suite and AI-native payments infrastructure. The company plans to raise a funding round to deepen payment innovations, scale the cross-border business, and expand into international markets.
Cashfree Payments also holds licenses of payment aggregator (PA), payment aggregator-cross border (PA-CB), and Prepaid Payment Instrument (PPI).
