Amazon India unveils new AI-powered seller tools
The new AI tools directed at the Indian sellers on Amazon is aimed at helping them achieve better efficiency and also get access to global markets.
Ahead of Prime Day 2026, Amazon India has unveiled a suite of AI-powered tools designed to help sellers streamline operations, improve productivity, and expand their businesses in India and overseas.
In a statement, the company said the centrepiece of the initiative is its AI-powered Seller Assistant, a conversational tool available in English and Hinglish that aims to simplify the seller journey—from onboarding to international expansion.
Built on Amazon Bedrock and powered by Amazon Nova foundation models and Anthropic Claude, the Seller Assistant provides personalised guidance, business insights, and operational recommendations. It helps sellers create product listings more efficiently by automatically generating titles, descriptions, and attributes, while pre-filling up to 70% of listing information from a single image or URL. The tool can also enhance product images, reducing catalog creation time from hours to minutes.
Amazon said the AI capabilities extend beyond listing management. Machine learning-powered inventory recommendations assist sellers in planning stock levels, while the company’s fulfillment network supports warehousing, logistics, and delivery across India. Sellers can also access Amazon’s Customized On-Demand Ads Experts (CODE) programme, which uses AI-driven diagnostics to provide advertising recommendations, and Amazon Vine, which helps new products gain authentic customer reviews.
The company is also focusing on global expansion opportunities for Indian businesses. Seller Assistant now offers AI-powered guidance to identify international market opportunities, recommend products with export potential, and help sellers navigate country-specific compliance and regulatory requirements. The platform additionally provides launch tracking and step-by-step support throughout the international selling process.
According to Abhijit Kamra, Director Seller Experience, Emerging Markets – Product, AI and Smart Commerce, early results indicate that sellers using AI-powered listing tools have reduced time spent on routine operational tasks by 70 percent while improving listing quality and discoverability. Amazon has also launched Seller Connect programmes across more than 20 cities, with over 5,000 sellers already participating in workshops focused on AI tools, catalog optimization, inventory planning, and growth strategies ahead of Prime Day.
