Building materials quick commerce startup Fixxly raises $5.5M in seed round
Fixxly has built an AI platform connecting all the players in ecosystem of building materials to ensure there is timely delivery and funding will be used for scaling technology & operations.
Fixxly, a quick commerce platform catering to the building materials sector, has secured $5.5 million in seed funding from Accel, Fireside Ventures, and Lightspeed India Partners.
The company plans to deploy the capital towards enhancing its technology infrastructure and expanding operations ahead of its commercial launch on September 1. The platform will initially go live in Bengaluru before expanding to additional cities.
Founded in 2026 by Shezan Bhojani and Sachith Varma, Fixxly is building a digital procurement layer for the construction and interiors ecosystem. The platform aims to help contractors, tradespeople, interior designers, and homeowners access building materials on demand, with deliveries targeted within approximately 30 minutes.
According to this startup, it operates an AI-powered supply network that fulfills orders through a network of local dark stores, matching real-time availability, proximity, and demand to deliver in minutes. The traditional building material distribution is a highly fragmented sector across local dealers leading to next day deliveries.
"We started Fixxly with one belief: no site should lose a working hour because a single item didn't arrive. Fixxly exists to keep that from happening: the right material, on site, when it's needed, every time. We're building this so India doesn't miss a beat," said Shezan Bhojani, Co-founder & CEO, Fixxly.
According to the startup, India's construction and home improvement ecosystem loses countless productive hours every day because of missing materials, be it a roll of electrical wire, a paint shade, plumbing fittings, or hardware. Even a single unavailable item can halt work, delay project timelines, and leave labour idle. Existing procurement processes are largely fragmented, dependent on local dealer networks and designed for planned purchases rather than urgent, on-site requirements, it noted.
Prashanth Prakash, Partner at Accel, said, "Building material procurement in India remains highly fragmented, with contractors and homeowners often dependent on local suppliers and unpredictable delivery timelines. Fixxly is reimagining this category through an AI-driven supply network that delivers speed and reliability at scale.”
