CIIC’s Mega Demo Day returns with bigger startup showcase

The Crescent Innovation & Incubation Council (CIIC) will host the fifth Mega Demo Day on August 5, 2026, bringing together startups, investors, researchers, corporates, and policymakers to foster partnerships and support emerging ventures.

According to the organisers, the event has expanded significantly since its launch. Attendance has grown from more than 250 participants in its first edition to more than 3,000 visitors at the fourth, alongside over 40 investors, 45 domain experts and more than 100 startup exhibits.

This year’s edition is expected to feature more than 150 startups across sectors, with dedicated pavilions focused on innovation, livelihoods and future mobility, alongside product launches, panel discussions, networking sessions and partnership announcements.

The organisers describe the event as a platform where startups find early supporters.

“Every startup has a beginning. Not in a boardroom or on a balance sheet, but in a conversation. An investor who sees potential. A mentor who asks the right question. A collaborator who says, 'Let's build this together',” an event note said.

CIIC said its broader incubation programme has supported 158 startups, graduated 80 ventures, helped create more than 2,100 jobs and mobilised over $54 million through grants and investments.

A major announcement at this year’s event will be the inauguration of the Atal Incubation Centre at CIIC, which is intended to expand support for high-potential startups. Atal Incubation Centres are part of NITI Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission, a national programme designed to build world-class incubation facilities and provide startups with mentoring, industry partnerships and access to funding across sectors including manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, and transport.

The event comes as India’s startup ecosystem continues to receive policy backing. Startup India recently marked its tenth year, highlighting more than 200,000 recognised startups and continued efforts to strengthen collaboration among entrepreneurs, incubators, investors, and government institutions.
