Imarticus Learning acquires Singapore's Bells Institute of Higher Learning for Rs 800 Cr
With this acquisition, the combined entity, with an employee strength of more than 1,100 employees, will operate from over 25 offices across India and Singapore.
Edtech firm Imarticus Learning has acquired Singapore-based BELLS Institute of Higher Learning providing it with access to learners in Southeast Asia, the company said on Friday.
The deal size is estimated to be around Rs 800 crore, according to sources.
"Imarticus Learning announced the acquisition of Singapore-based BELLS Institute of Higher Learning, marking its first international acquisition and a significant milestone in its growth journey. This acquisition establishes Singapore as Imarticus Learning's hub for Southeast Asia," the company said in a statement.
With this acquisition, the combined entity -- with an employee strength of more than 1,100 employees -- will operate from over 25 offices across India and Singapore.
Imarticus Learning focuses on finance and professional education in India. The acquisition of Bells adds the portfolio of enterprise learning, artificial intelligence, data analytics, technology and workforce development, along with established relationships with the Singapore government, SkillsFuture Singapore and leading enterprises across the region.
"This acquisition marks the beginning of the next phase of growth for Imarticus Learning... Partnering with BELLS gives us a presence in Asian workforce development ecosystems and serves as a foundation for expansion across Southeast Asia," Imarticus Learning Group CEO Nikhil Barshikar said in a statement.
