View Brand PublisherReady to Build AI That Matters? Register for the Snowflake CoCo CLI Hackathon 2026
From workflow automation agents to domain-specific AI copilots, Snowflake’s hackathon challenges developers to shape the next wave of AI solutions with real business impact.
As AI moves from experimentation to execution, the challenge for developers is no longer coming up with ideas; it’s turning them into working systems fast. Snowflake believes the next wave of innovation will come from builders who can take an idea from prompt to production without getting stuck in complexity.
That vision drives the Snowflake CoCo CLI Hackathon 2026, a build-focused initiative bringing together developers, data engineers, and AI practitioners to create intelligent applications on Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud.
The message is clear: it’s time to move from ideation to creation.
From plain English prompts to execution
Snowflake CoCo CLI is an AI coding agent that turns natural language prompts into production-ready systems. It takes the burden of writing extensive code off developers, letting them describe what they want—whether SQL, machine learning pipelines, applications, or agents.
A simple prompt like “find all customer tables I have access to” can generate optimized SQL to surface relevant datasets. More advanced workflows can build full machine learning pipelines: discovering tables, training models, deploying monitoring agents, and sending alerts to Slack.
The platform also supports real-time fraud detection, workflow controls, and integrations with popular tools. With multi-agent development and autonomous cloud agents, Snowflake compresses months of engineering effort into a single session.
A hackathon built around execution
Unlike idea-centric competitions, the Snowflake CoCo CLI Hackathon 2026 is structured around building and deploying practical solutions.
Participants will move from concept to prototype to final implementation, creating systems that solve real-world challenges using Snowflake’s AI Data Cloud. The program is aimed at software engineers, data engineers, data scientists, AI and ML practitioners, and backend developers experienced in building data-driven applications.
Developers across India can participate individually or in teams of up to four. The focus is on applications that show end-to-end execution and strong system design. Key areas include workflow automation, natural-language-powered applications, systems combining structured and unstructured data, and industry-specific AI copilots.
Putting AI to action: problem statements
The hackathon revolves around four problem statements reflecting major opportunities in enterprise AI:
- Intelligent Workflow Automation Agent: Build agents that understand enterprise data, spot anomalies, generate insights, and trigger contextual actions.
- Unstructured Data Intelligence System: Extract insights from contracts, reports, logs, tickets, and other documents, combining them with structured data for meaningful analysis.
- AI-Native Data Application: Enable users to interact with enterprise data through natural language, receiving insights, recommendations, and summaries via intuitive interfaces.
- Domain-Specific AI Copilot: Create copilots for industries like healthcare, finance, retail, manufacturing, agriculture, and education, offering tailored recommendations for real workflows.
A roadmap for builders
Registrations are open. Participants will get access to sessions, workshops, and AMA interactions before prototype submissions in July.
Registration and submissions close on August 2. Evaluations and shortlisting follow, leading to the grand finale from September 1 to 4, where selected teams will showcase their solutions.
Projects will be judged on technical execution (40%), real-world relevance (30%), and overall solution completeness (30%).
Rewards beyond prize money
The prize pool is worth $10,000. Winning teams receive $4,300, while first and second runners-up get $2,200 and $1,590. Up to five additional teams will receive $530 each.
Finalists gain recognition within the Snowflake ecosystem, opportunities to present to industry experts, and exposure to India’s growing developer community.
At a time when AI tools are making software development faster and more accessible, the Snowflake CoCo CLI Hackathon 2026 positions itself as a platform for developers eager to explore the next phase of AI-native applications.
