CARPL.ai, a radiology AI marketplace and enterprise platform, has raised $10 million in a Series A round of funding led by International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, with participation from Stellaris Venture Partners and other investors.
CARPL.ai was part of the YourStory Tech30 cohort of 2022.
The startup will use the capital for product development and expanding its global partner ecosystem and commercial growth across North America, LATAM, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and emerging markets.
CARPL.ai has its engineering, product development and AI capabilities in India and the tech platform is deployed across the world.
Founded in 2021 and headquartered in California, the technology platform of CARPL is used by the governments including India, Brazil, Singapore, Spain and the UAE.
"Our mission is to ensure that clinicians can confidently use the absolute best AI technology available for their patients. Over the past few years, we have built the world's largest radiology AI marketplace, integrated deeply with leading enterprise PACS providers, and earned the trust of some of the largest healthcare enterprises across the globe, who rely on us as their partner in their AI and automation journeys,” Vidur Mahajan, Chief Executive Officer of CARPL.ai.
According to this startup, medical imaging generates more than 80% of healthcare data but the demand is outpacing the capacity of radiologists. CARPL claimed that its technology platform enables healthcare providers to get access to radiology AI marketplace with more than 300 AI applications from over 100 partners. In addition, the platform also enables users to build, test, deploy, and monitor AI across clinical workflows while remaining vendor-neutral and infrastructure-agnostic.
The larger goal of CARPL.ai is to become an integration, utilisation and procurement layer for all clinical AI that goes into healthcare organizations.
“Expanding access to high-quality diagnostics in emerging markets is one of the most pressing priorities in global healthcare, and AI is becoming a critical part of the solution. CARPL.ai is building the digital infrastructure that enables healthcare providers to adopt AI at scale, improving diagnostic quality and expanding access to care," Farid Fezoua, Global Director for Private Equity and Venture Capital, International Finance Corporation said.
