Info Edge reports 43% rise in net profit for Q1FY27
The Naukri parent saw an 11.4% rise in revenue. Info Edge CEO Hitesh Oberoi attributed recruitment and adoption of AI as key drivers of growth.
Info Edge, the parent company of jobs portal Naukri and real estate platform 99acres, registered a 43% rise in net profit for the first quarter of FY27 while revenue was up 11.4%.
Info Edge reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 490 crore for the first quarter of FY27 as compared to Rs 343 crore registered in the same period a year ago. The revenue during this period stood Rs 881 crore as compared to Rs 490 crore a year ago.
On the performance of the company, Info Edge CEO Hitesh Oberoi said, "Q1FY27 was a stronger quarter relative to the trends we saw through FY26. Recruitment grew well, supported by improving enterprise hiring activity and continued adoption of AI-led offerings such as AI-Rex and Talent Pulse. 99acres continued to strengthen its market leadership and moved closer to breakeven, while Jeevansathi remained profitable during the quarter.”
However, when compared to the fourth quarter of FY26, Info Edge reported a 1.3% rise in revenues and the net profit declined by 35%.
The largest contributor to the revenues of Info Edge came from its recruitment business: Naukri whose topline came in at Rs 630 crore which was a 12% year-on-year (YoY) growth. The real estate business registered a 17% YoY rise to reach a revenue of Rs 130 crore.
However, the gross profitability numbers diverged for both businesses as Naukri reported a profit of Rs 353 crore while for 99acres it was a loss of Rs 2.13 crore.
Info Edge CFO Ambarish Raghuvanshi said, “The company’s cash-generative model was reinforced with cash flows growing by 25.3%. Both recruitment and real estate demonstrated a ramp-up in billings, growing by 17.5% and 16.5%, respectively. All in all, a good quarter.”
The company highlighted that it continues to deepen the use of AI across the group which is enhancing the products and creating new growth opportunities.
