Sachin Bansal's Navi raises $100M from Prosus
This is the first institutional fund raise by Navi and the capita; will give it capability to expand its financial services.
Sachin Bansal's financial services company Navi Limited has raised $100 million in funding from Prosus, marking its first institutional round.
Founded in 2018, Navi offers a range of financial services ranging from loans, insurance, mutual funds, and UPI payments. According to a statement, Navi Finserv has crossed asset under management of Rs 13,000 crore. The company achieved consolidated profitability in the fourth quarter of FY26.
On the fund raise from Prosus, Navi Group Founder & Executive Chairman Sachin Bansal said, “Their investment is a strong endorsement of the institution we're building at Navi. Beyond the capital, we value Prosus's global perspective, long-term orientation and experience in scaling technology businesses, and look forward to partnering with them as we continue our growth journey.”
The statement further noted that the investment aligns with Prosus's in backing leading technology platforms in India and its confidence in Navi's business, execution capabilities and a long-term ambition to build one of India’s leading technology-driven financial services institutions.
On the investment into Navi, Ashutosh Sharma, Head of Prosus India Investments and M&A, said, “We are excited about our partnership with Navi, a business that is demonstrating all the qualities we look for while investing - a large base of loyal users, a platform play with multiple lines of businesses, a technology-first approach to problem solving and a relentless focus on delivering superior consumer experience.”
This transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and applicable regulatory approvals, including approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI).
