SEMICON India 2026: 25 MoUs signal India's chip ecosystem push
Tata Electronics, Kaynes Semicon, NIELIT, and global partners like Nexperia and Sumitomo Chemical struck 25 deals at SEMICON India 2026, covering materials, power modules, logistics, and semiconductor workforce training.
SEMICON India 2026, running September 17 to 19 at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, has turned into a platform for a wide sweep of partnerships across the chipmaking value chain. The event's first day alone saw the government flag close to Rs 1 lakh crore in investment commitments and roughly a lakh jobs in the pipeline, with officials framing the moment as India's shift from policy paperwork to actual factory floors. Tata Electronics led the pack of dealmakers, tying up with global names such as Nexperia, INOX Air Products, and Sumitomo Chemical to build out domestic capacity in gases, chemicals, and packaging for its fabs in Dholera and Jagiroad.
By September 18, that momentum had produced a list of 25 MoUs and announcements spanning private companies, research institutions, skilling bodies, and government departments. Here is the full rundown.

- Tata Electronics and INOX Air Products Limited: to build a localised supply chain for high purity gases used in semiconductor manufacturing in India.
