The/Nudge launches Rs 250 Cr TILT fund for early-stage impact startups
TILT will primarily invest in startups at the seed to Series A stages, with cheque sizes ranging from Rs 2 crore to Rs 16 crore.
The/Nudge Foundation has launched TILT, its first impact investment platform, with a corpus of Rs 250 crore to invest in science and technology-led businesses.
The fund is backed by the Livelihood Impact Fund, along with prominent entrepreneurs and investors such as Deep Kalra (MakeMyTrip), Amit Gupta (Yulu), Hari Menon (BigBasket), Binny Bansal (Flipkart), Vidit Aatrey (Meesho), and the Raj & Indra Nooyi Family Office.
TILT will primarily invest in startups at the seed to Series A stages, with cheque sizes ranging from Rs 2 crore to Rs 16 crore. According to the foundation, the platform aims to address a gap in India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem—the limited availability of patient, impact-focused capital for ventures in their early stages.
TILT will invest across agricultural value chains, climate resilience, informal work, and emerging employment models, MSME productivity, employability, financial inclusion, market access and distribution, and technology and AI applied to livelihood challenges.
The fund will also support areas such as research, market development, partnerships and ecosystem infrastructure, complementing the venture fund’s investment work.
“India’s Next Billion is increasingly ready for scalable market solutions, and our focus is on backing founders early, giving them the time to build resilient models and aligning capital more closely with the realities of the markets and communities they serve,” said Richa Singh, Co-founder and Managing Partner, TILT.
Over the past eight years, The/Nudge has supported livelihood-focused social entrepreneurs, backing more than 190 social enterprises and deploying around Rs 180 crore in grants.
As these ventures moved from early validation to scale, it became clear that many needed more than philanthropic support to realise their full potential, the foundation said. They also required patient, impact-first investment capital to help them navigate the formative stages of building resilient businesses and achieving sustainable scale.
TILT Managing Partner & Founder Atul Satija said, “Over the next 15 years, we aim to back 150+ startups and meaningfully improve 100 million lives. We hope to show what becomes possible when capital is designed around the realities of impact-led businesses.”
