Cradlewise raises $12M in Series A led by 3one4 Capital, Prudent Investment Management
The Series A round will help Cradlewise expand its infant sleep product business across new channels and international markets.
AI-first consumer health and wellness company Cradlewise has raised $12 million in Series A funding led by 3one4 Capital and Prudent Investment Management.
The company said it will use the funding for growth, channel expansion, product research and development, and expansion into international markets.
Founded in 2019 by Radhika Patil and Bharath Patil, Cradlewise develops products focused on infant and child sleep. Its smart sleep system combines a crib, contactless monitoring, adaptive motion, and a connected app.
The system uses data from sensors tracking movement, sound, sleep state and other contextual inputs to detect early signs of stirring and respond with motion intended to settle babies before they fully wake, according to the company. Cradlewise claims the system can save parents up to two hours of effort a day.
"Cradlewise came from our own experience of sleepless nights as parents. We wanted to build something that does more than just inform parents that the baby is awake. The smart crib helps babies sleep better and gives parents a much-needed helping hand. This round allows us to reach more families, expand access, and build products that continue to support the sleep journey as children grow," said Radhika Patil, Co-founder and CEO, Cradlewise.
The startup plans to expand its distribution through online and retail channels, partnerships, and international markets. It is also working on products beyond the crib, including software-based sleep routines, related child-sleep hardware and lower-priced products. The company said these initiatives are aimed at extending its offering beyond the 0–24-month infant stage.
Cradlewise said its technology is backed by patents covering its hardware and sensing systems and that its products have generated more than 75 million hours of sleep data. It manufactures its cribs at a facility in Pune, which the company said can produce, test and pack thousands of units a month.
"Cradlewise is about sensing, learning, and having an impact. We wish to create tech that does not shout out its presence but solves challenges in a way that we forget about them,” said Bharath Patil, Co-founder and CTO, Cradlewise.
"Cradlewise is solving an acute parenting problem with a rare combination of product depth, data, manufacturing control, and customer trust. Radhika and Bharath have built a differentiated sleep system with strong unit economics and a roadmap that can extend the customer relationship beyond infancy. We are excited to partner with them as they build a global child sleep company from India and the US," said Anand Batra, Investments Team, 3one4 Capital.
With this round, Cradlewise has raised $26 million in total. Its investors include Sean O'Sullivan Ventures, Footwork VC, Charles River Ventures, 3one4 Capital, and Prudent Investment Management.
The company is headquartered in San Francisco, with manufacturing operations in Pune.
