Ola Krutrim acquires AI platform BharatSah’AI’yak

Ola’s AI venture, Krutrim, on Friday said it acquired BharatSah’AI’yak, an AI-driven platform developed by Samagra, known for its work on government-facing solutions in education, agriculture, and governance.

With this acquisition, the AI unicorn plans to integrate BharatSah’AI’yak into its large language models (LLMs), cloud infrastructure, and agentic platform Kruti, its newly launched AI assistant app. 

The move will also help the firm to democratise AI across public services, enterprise use cases, and citizen engagement platforms, it said in a statement. 

As part of the deal, Krutrim has onboarded Samagra’s core AI team. The platform will primarily be integrated into Krutrim Cloud and its agentic AI ecosystem to deliver solutions for various government and civic applications.

We have onboarded the country’s brightest minds to develop a platform that reflects the diversity, depth, and richness of Indian languages and culture,” said a company spokesperson. 

BharatSah’AI’yak mainly specialises in India-centric and vernacular Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) AI bots that offer text and voice-based experiences.

The platform was used in building KumbhSah’AI’yak, an AI chatbot built during Maha Kumbh 2025, offering 24/7 multilingual assistance to pilgrims on rituals, navigation, accommodation, and events. Krutrim hosted open-source LLM services for this project.

Similarly, it was used to build AMA Krushi, a voice-first AI chatbot in Odisha, offering advisory services on agriculture and government schemes to farmers in local languages. 

Krutrim recently rolled out Kruti, an agentic AI assistant capable of performing end-to-end tasks such as booking cabs, ordering food, paying bills, generating images, and conducting research.
