Tsecond.ai secures $21.5M led by MSN Holdings
Tsecond.ai has raised funds to advance edge AI infrastructure, expanding its BRYCK platform and supporting defence systems that operate independently of cloud connectivity in complex, real-world environments.
Tsecond.ai, a company focused on edge AI and data infrastructure, has secured about $21.5 million (over Rs 190 crore), in funding led by MSN Holdings, the family office of Manish Nuwal, managing director and chief executive officer of Solar Industries India.
The investment has been structured across multiple rounds over two years, according to the company.
According to a statement by the company, the funding will be used to strengthen Tsecond.ai’s core capabilities in edge AI and data infrastructure, with a focus on scaling systems designed for defence and mission-critical use. This includes further development of its flagship BRYCK platform, improving its ability to capture, store, and process large volumes of data in real time without reliance on cloud connectivity, especially in remote or contested environments .
The investment will also support wider deployment across active defence programmes in multiple regions, helping integrate these systems into real-world operations where rapid, on-site decision-making is essential .
Defence technologies have relied heavily on centralised computing, where data is transmitted back to secure facilities for analysis. However, as modern warfare and security operations become more distributed, this model has shown clear limitations.
This gap has driven the emergence of edge-based systems that can process and act on data where it is generated. Tsecond.ai’s platform, BRYCK, is designed for such conditions. It claims to combine high-speed data capture with on-device AI processing in rugged systems that can operate in what are described as remote, disconnected, and austere environments.
Governments worldwide are accelerating defence modernisation, investing in autonomous systems, such as drones, and AI-enabled platforms. These systems depend on rapid decision-making based on large volumes of data. As a result, infrastructure that can support such capabilities at the edge is becoming a foundational requirement rather than a niche capability.
Manish Nuwal, whose family office led the investment, said that the security environment is more complex than in recent decades and emphasised that edge compute infrastructure is a “lynchpin” for operating in contested battlefields, citing Tsecond.ai’s growth and involvement in major defence programmes in the United States, United Kingdom, India, and Europe.
Sahil Chawla, co-founder and chief executive officer of Tsecond.ai, noted that BRYCK was designed for environments where AI must function regardless of conditions, highlighting the system’s intended use in demanding scenarios rather than controlled settings.
The investment also aligns with a broader portfolio trend. Nuwal’s interests span unmanned aerial systems, space technology, and energy storage. Tsecond.ai adds the data and compute layer to this ecosystem, effectively linking sensors, platforms, and decision-making systems.
With an estimated valuation between Rs 2,600 crore and Rs 3,000 crore, Tsecond.ai’s trajectory suggests growing confidence in this segment of defence technology.
