Akanksha Sharma is the Global Head ESG —Sustainability, Social Impact, Governance & Policy, STL. STL is committed to the community, and Akanksha spearheads the company’s vision for CSR and Sustainability. She drives a portfolio of community projects aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Akanksha brings in experience from organisations such as UNICEF, Jubilant Food Works and Vedanta. Post her MBA, she has done an advanced program from Harvard Business School. Bringing extensive experience of over a decade in advising Boards/Leadership on Sustainable Business Practices, CSR & Public Policy, I have been developing organizational approaches to establish strategic partnerships and institutional engagement with key traditional and non- traditional allies, positioning the organization as a thought leader on key policy issues. I have successfully led several high impact initiatives on SDGs in various geographies (of Asia, Europe and Latin America), leveraging the policy context governing the contribution of the private sector to development through CSR, Social Entrepreneurship, Impact Investing & Strategic Philanthropy. Carrying diverse experience ranging across the private sector, the social sector, the UN agency -I have been able to closely understand the interplay of politics, policy, profit, and people. I have also significantly contributed to the CSR law (Industry Representative) and Inclusive India Policy of the Government of India. Noted amongst '100 Most Impactful CSR Leaders Globally' by World CSR Congress; 'Asia’s Top Sustainability Superwomen List of Honour' by CSRWorks International; ‘Young CSR Leader’ by India CSR and also conferred with the “Sustainability Leadership Award” by World Sustainability Forum. I'm also World Economic Forum's Global Shaper and a Tedx Speaker.
