Ankit Mehra is the Co-founder and CEO of GyanDhan, an education financing marketplace which specialises in providing education loan experience. With over 16+ years of experience in the fintech industry, Ankit has contributed to education financing discourses and led GyanDhan to its current structure.
A Mechanical Engineering graduate from IIT Kanpur, Ankit worked with CapitalOne, USA, for around 7 years. He left his job in 2013 and went on to pursue an MBA from IESE Business School - University of Navarra.
At IESE, Ankit witnessed many of his MBA colleagues face financial troubles regarding funding for their education. The slow and opaque application process and lack of financing options that did not account for the future employability prospects of the students were contrary to the risk-based pricing frameworks he was accustomed to building at Capital One. After his MBA, he decided to move back to India in 2015 to start GyanDhan to simplify the education loan process and make it meritocratic and easy.
