Anuj Gupta is the Managing Director at BowerGroupAsia, a policy consulting firm operating across more than 30 countries that advises Fortune 500 companies on market entry, expansion, and navigating the intersection of business and public policy.
Prior to this, he served as Vice President at Tata Sons and spent over a decade working with the governments of India and Abu Dhabi, contributing to flagship initiatives spanning trade and industry, energy, finance, technology, infrastructure, and startups. As Chief of Staff to Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, he played a key role in India’s recent economic, trade, and supply-chain realignment.
Over the course of his public-sector career, he worked across more than ten ministries, with experience covering energy, mining, transportation, industry, trade, and food policy.
Anuj holds an MBA from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
Outside work, he is an avid reader who reads more than 100 books a year and enjoys exploring ideas at the intersection of policy, innovation, and global development.
