Ashwin Shankar is the founder and CEO of BatteryPool. A Stanford-trained electrical engineer with experience at Schlumberger in energy and NASA-linked hardware projects, he founded BatteryPool in 2018 with a mission to solve the affordability barrier in electric mobility for last-mile drivers and gig workers. He pioneered a pay-as-you-go energy model backed by proprietary swap-ready hardware and an IoT-enabled battery intelligence layer, allowing users to access EV batteries through flexible daily, weekly, and monthly plans.
