Dhruv Sawhney
Dhruv Sawhney is the Business Head and COO of nurture.farm, an open, digital platform that is looking to facilitate sustainable agriculture globally. In his present capacity, he spearheads the business, overall strategy, and operations.
With a bachelor’s degree in Electronics from Pune University, Dhruv went on to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Tech Management from the All India Management Association (AIMA), Delhi. In his career spanning nearly 25 years, Dhruv has been associated with multiple distinguished enterprises and startups in senior leadership roles, including Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Dell, PayPal, Zomato, and Gojek, before moving to nurture.farm.
A seasoned professional, Dhruv has several professional achievements to his name. At TCS, he established business operations in Ireland and helped expand the client base in the market. At Dell, he led the largest Sales & Services business transformation programs while he headed the global operations excellence and business operations for PayPal through a newly established R&D operations center in Dublin, Ireland. Dhruv also established and headed a new R&D facility for the organization in Bangalore. Aside from being a corporate professional, he is also an entrepreneur, having founded a food-tech startup in 2016, which Zomato later acquired in 2018.
Envisioning nurture.farm as the recognized face for sustainable agriculture, Dhruv aims to make nurture.farm a leading Agritech platform that is globally renowned by solving the existing sustainability challenges in the food supply chain for both the growers and the ecosystem overall. Considering every employee an equal stakeholder in a company’s journey, he believes that it is the combined vision and passion that powers business growth and progress.
A foodie, Dhruv enjoys cooking, following sports, and collecting/listening to old/new classic Vinyl in his downtime. During his time in Ireland, he commenced a Cricket club that he continues to support and is currently at the top of the league. A firm believer in the phrase ‘change is constant,’ Dhruv’s philosophy is to think big, take risks, and keep learning.
