Jani Pasha is the Co-founder and CEO of Lokal, A mobile-first platform that bridges the gap between rural communities and essential service providers, making access to reliable, verified, and affordable services as easy as a few taps on a phone.
A product-first IIT graduate turned serial entrepreneur—who learned from early steps with TheSoup—and architected Lokal into a robust, AI-backed hyperlocal platform. With a multi-million user base, deep regional engagement, and disciplined moderation, Jani is driving digital inclusion for Bharat’s Tier II+ audience.
He earlier served as a Senior Product Manager at Zoomo (Gozoomo), where he led the revamp of its mobile-first experience and developed critical buyer-seller tools.
Jani’s entrepreneurial stint first started with Halfteaspoon, an ingredient delivery startup that was selected as one of Seedstarsworld's top 12 pitches in 2014. While he began his career at Tata Steel, where he contributed to operational innovations and was ranked 4th globally in the Steel University Challenge. He is also a recipient of the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia in 2020.
A graduate in Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT-KGP), Jani combines deep technical training with a sharp entrepreneurial instinct. He was also part of the transformative Jagriti Yatra fellowship.
