Japan Doshi

Japan Doshi heads technology and product at Rupeek, where he leads a talented team spanning product, design, engineering, and data science. At Rupeek, he is driving the product and engineering strategy to build a digital, multi-asset-backed lending platform with the largest network of lenders and merchants to democratize access to credit for a Billion Indians. Prior to Rupeek, Japan spent nearly a decade at Amazon in various technology roles. During his tenure, he led technology for Amazon Pay and helped build other global products including cloud photos, recommendations, and Amazon App Store. Before that, he worked with GlaxoSmithKline across product and tech roles. His inventions around the areas of recommendations and OS compatibility have earned him a few patents in the U.S. After spending over 12 years in the U.S., Japan’s passion for building consumer products for millions of Indians drew him back to the country. He holds a master’s degree in computer science from North Carolina State University.
