Monica Malhotra Kandhari

Monica Malhotra Kandhari, Managing Director of MBD Group, is also a key member of CII; co-chair (publishing) at FICCI; Vice President (North) of Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP); member of Educational Publishers Forum, IPA (International Publisher Association); and a member of the Senate of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. She is a second-generation entrepreneur. She started working at the young age of 16, and today heads one of India’s leading education companies. A strong believer in edtech innovation and an ardent literacy campaigner. She has been the key force behind MBD Group's recently launched flagship product, Aasoka Learning and Teaching Solutions (ALTS), which aims to deliver a research-based customised curriculum solution for K-12 and also focuses on analytics, technology and teacher training. Monica Malhotra Kandhari has received numerous awards, including, "Times Power Icon 2021" award for contribution to education; and "The 10 Most Influential Educational Leaders in 2018" award by The Knowledge Review Magazine. Under her leadership, MBD has also received many awards year on year, including but not limited to North India Best Employer Brand award in 2022; “The Extraordinaire" award from the Brand Vision Summit 2019.
