Rohit Sharma is President – Consumer Business at upGrad, leading the business focused on learning, upskilling and career transformation.
A member of upGrad’s early leadership team, Rohit has spent over a decade building and scaling businesses across India and international markets. He has held leadership roles spanning the Working Professionals and International businesses, with experience across business strategy, product, go-to-market, international expansion and business development.
As the founding member of upGrad International, Rohit has played a key role in building the business across Southeast Asia, the Middle East and North America, developing products and go-to-market strategies tailored to evolving learner and market needs. He has also led the development and scaling of upGrad’s offerings for working professionals.
His areas of expertise include AI and the future of work, employability and skills, higher education, EdTech, digital learning, career transformation and international education.
He is particularly interested in how AI is reshaping jobs and skills, and how education must evolve alongside changing workforce needs.
Rohit is an alumnus of IIT Delhi and began his career in management consulting with PwC US Advisory.
