Sunil Shekhawat, CEO of SanchiConnect, transitioned from dentistry to entrepreneurship in 2012, entering India’s nascent startup ecosystem. After building a SaaS venture for clinics and navigating a challenging fundraising landscape, he witnessed the ecosystem mature by 2022—with more startups, investors, and policy support. However, inefficiencies in investor discovery and long fundraising cycles persist, especially for deeptech founders. To address this, he founded SanchiConnect, aimed at democratizing access to capital, networks, and enterprise opportunities. Early validation came within days of its MVP launch, reinforcing the need for a more connected and efficient innovation ecosystem in India.
