Audi to bring Q3 Sportback in India, bookings open at Rs 2 lakh
In India, Audi Q3 Sportback will be available in a single Technology variant that comes with the S-Line exterior package.
Audi’s 2023 lineup in India will be led by the launch of the Q3 Sportback. The German carmaker has started accepting bookings for the coupe version of Q3 at a token amount of Rs 2 lakh. In fact, it will be the first coupe-style car in the entry-level luxury SUV segment in the Indian market.
The coupe-style crossover is expected to hit showrooms in India in the next few months and is likely to carry a small premium over the regular Q3, which is priced between Rs 44.89 lakh - Rs 50.39 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be made available in a single, fully-loaded technology variant in India.

Q3 with sportier styling
As expected, the Q3 Sportback shares its mechanicals and underpinnings with the standard Q3, which received a new lease of life last year. Visually, it is very similar to its sibling barring the coupe-like silhouette with a sharply sloping roofline. Apart from the coupe styling, the Q3 Sportback also boasts specific design elements that distinguish it from the standard Q3.
For starters, the hexagonal grille in the front gets a honeycomb pattern instead of the slatted pattern in the regular Q3. Moreover, air intakes are sharper and more triangular in the coupe SUV than its sibling that receives a gloss black treatment. The 18-inch, five-spoke V-style alloy wheels further add to the Q3 Sportback’s unique styling.
In terms of dimensions, Q3 Sportback is 36mm longer, 6mm narrower, and 49mm shorter than the standard Q3. The former measures 4,518mm in length, 1,843mm in width, and 1,558mm in height. Audi will offer the coupe crossover in five exterior colour options—Turbo Blue, Glacier White, Chronos Grey, Mythos Black, and Navarra Blue.
Similar interiors, features
Inside its cabin, the layout of the Q3 Sportback is identical to its taller sibling. Audi is offering two interior colour theme options with the coupe SUV, including Okapi Brown and Pearl Beige. The dashboard is dominated by a 10.1-inch touchscreen and Audi’s Virtual Cockpit all-digital instrument cluster.
Other notable features on offer include dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting with 30 colours, a 10-speaker audio system, a wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats with four-way lumbar support, gesture-controlled tailgate, scuff plates on front doors with aluminium inserts, and more.

The car also ensures passenger safety with six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, heated and auto-dimming ORVMS, auto-dimming IRVMs, hill start assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a reversing camera.
Powertrain specs
Powering the Q3 Sportback is the same 2.0-litre TFSI turbocharged petrol engine that propels the standard Q3. This motor pumps out 188 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque while being mated to a seven-speed S-tronic automatic transmission. Like Q3, the Sportback receives Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive (AWD) setup.
As for the performance, Q3 Sportback can sprint 0-100 kmph in 7.3 seconds and can clock a claimed top speed of 220 kmph.
