ABX3PV Pvt. Ltd. is an Indian deep-tech clean-energy startup founded in 2023 and based at the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. The company is focused on developing next-generation perovskite photovoltaic (PV) technologies designed to overcome the efficiency, weight, rigidity, and manufacturing limitations of conventional silicon solar cells. ABX3PV develops perovskite solar cells and modules in multiple configurations, including rigid glass-based modules, lightweight flexible modules, and silicon–perovskite tandem solar cells. Its tandem technology combines perovskite and silicon to capture a broader portion of the solar spectrum and achieve higher power conversion efficiency than conventional silicon PV. The company is targeting a broad range of applications. These include rooftop and grid-scale solar, building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), transparent solar windows, electric vehicles, drones, indoor/low-light IoT devices, and aerospace/space applications where lightweight and high power density are particularly valuable. A major differentiator is ABX3PV's focus on scalable, low-temperature and lower-energy manufacturing processes for perovskite PV. The company is working to move its technology from laboratory research toward pilot-scale production and commercialization, including an indigenous production line for perovskite PV modules. In July 2025, ABX3PV showcased a stable A4-sized flexible perovskite module and an M12 tandem PV module. The company also has an emerging international commercialization strategy involving technology licensing, co-development, and supply partnerships with solar manufacturers, aerospace companies, and clean-tech integrators.
