DeepSig is an early-stage startup that develops deep learning software to reinvent wireless communications.
DeepSig develops deep learning software on Cloud, Edge, and embedded devices. Their OmniSIG™ product provides visibility into wireless spectrum activity to find interference, wireless/cyber threats, and anomalies. OmniPHY™ replaces key conventional baseband signal processing technology with machine learning to improve system performance. Through its approach to signal processing, DeepSig uses Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to learn optimized models directly from data rather than manually designing specialized algorithms. This process, replacing hand-engineering algorithms with AI-based equivalents that use machine learning, will bring significant computational and power benefits to many areas of the 5G stack. The company participated in the Telecom Infra Project and the O-RAN Alliance that are working to reduce the costs of 5G through virtualisation onto commodity hardware. In March 2020, it raised $5M in Series A financing. The round, which added to the $3.5M previously raised, was led by Leawood Venture Capital with participation from Scout Ventures, Blu Venture Investors, and Lockheed Martin Ventures.
