Home chefs are the most underutilized resources in the country, and they leverage them by upskilling and empowering them. Their food is 100% homecooked and is prepared using the freshest ingredients, with no sorts of additives or preservatives. Their meal plans range as Classic, Treat and Relish; they also offer a 3-in-1 meal plan which comprises meals from all the subscription plans. Masala Box uses a cutting-edge technology and also focuses on extensive methods of digital marketing to grow the business in the online platform. The food is procured from their network of home chefs, who use only garden-fresh ingredients to prepare decadent dishes in home kitchens that are compliant with sanitization guidelines. Once prepared and packaged, their delivery team takes over and arranges for timely delivery so that their customers get to enjoy fresh, tasty, homemade meals, served straight from the kitchen to their table. They have been on a mission to promote healthy eating and through that, create a stratum of new-age entrepreneurs from one of the nation’s most underutilised assets – homemakers, since 2014. By absorbing skilful home cooks from the locality into their network, they enable them to make a daily chore their source of financial stability. Their network of home chefs is over 300 people strong and is spread over Bangalore.
